Upgrading Zephyr Version from 8.3 or later with Artemis Service

The section outlines the procedure for upgrading Zephyr Enterprise version from 8.3 or later with the Artemis service for Windows and Linux OS.

Windows 

Perform the following steps to upgrade to the latest available version and modify the Artemis Service for Windows:

  1. Stop the Zephyr application before upgrading. 

  2. Stop the Artemis service. 

  3. Upgrade your existing Zephyr version to the latest available version (for example, 8.5). Refer to Upgrade Zephyr Enterprise for more information. 

  4. If you have installed the Artemis service using Non-Sucking Service Manager (NSSM), it should appear in the Windows Services list. 

  5. Edit Artemis Service to point to the correct JAR file and update the service configuration to point to the 1.5 JAR file for Artemis.

  6. Update the Artemis JAR File in NSSM Configuration, launch the Command Prompt, and set the directory path where you extracted NSSM. Depending on your system architecture, this should be using the win64 or win32 folder. 

  7. Enter the following command, where ZeArtemisService is the service name. 

    nssm edit ZeArtemisService 

  8. In the Edit dialog box, in the Arguments box, update the jar version to ze-artemis-service-1.5.jar.

  9. In the following command, replace the existing version to 1.5.

    -jar -DzeArtemisConfigPath="C:\Program Files\Zephyr\artemis" ze-artemis-service-<VERSION>.jar      

  10. Click the Edit Service button to modify the service settings.

  11. Restart the Artemis Service.

Linux 

Perform the following standard upgrade procedure to upgrade Zephyr to the latest version (for example, 8.5) and modify the Artemis Service for Linux:

  1. Stop the Zephyr application before upgrading. 

  2. Stop the Artemis service. 

  3. Upgrade your existing Zephyr version to the latest available version (for example, 8.5). Refer to Upgrade Zephyr Enterprise for more information. 

After the upgrade, both Zephyr and Artemis will automatically start during the Zephyr startup process.
